I was a little nervous about our Thanksgiving this year. Not really about the car travel, but mainly about the sleeping arrangements. We spent 3 nights with all 4 of us sleeping in one room. This has never happened before. Our boys have never even slept in the same room, so I was very nervous about how all of this would go! Both boys sleep through the night at home, but I wasn't sure how Brooks would do being away from his own bed, while getting a new tooth. Thankfully, we all had a great night's sleep each night, and the boys did amazing! Two of the nights, we had to put them to bed at one place, wake them up and take them to the hotel to put them back to bed. They were such troopers!
Wednesday and Thursday were spent at "The Farm" near Vidalia, GA with the Glendye family. We had a wonderful time, fishing from the dock, riding tractors and a back hoe, making s'mores, rocking on the porch, and eating alot of really yummy food!
We headed back home Thursday night to re pack and re group and headed out for South Georgia bright and early Friday morning. The boys did great on the 5 hour car trip, and we had a wonderful weekend with the Cleveland family. We all only get together this one time each year, so it is so much fun to catch up and spend time with everyone! We spent some more time riding tractors, fishing, deer hunting (the guys), attending Swine Time, celebrating my dad's 60th birthday, and eating alot of yummy food!
